How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Junior Income Tax Analyst is responsible for providing support to the income tax leadership group by assisting with the preparation and filing of federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating and managing the status of all quarterly and annual tax filings within OneSource Calendar and Workflow as well as tracking tax notices and refund claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Manage income tax filing requirements within OneSource Calendar and Workflow
  • Coordinate the filing of approximately 200 state and local income tax returns, including the attachment of extensions, federal proformas, and other state/local specific requirements
  • Prepare and file federal and state tax information reports
  • Assist with preparation and electronic filing of annual federal, state and local income tax returns within the CorpTax environment
  • Correspond with state and local tax authorities as needed
  • Maintain Corporate Profiles and ensure information is up-to-date
  • Coordinate projects, activities and functions for the Tax Department
  • Prepare and maintain database of IRS Tax forms W-9, SS4, W-8 Ben-E, etc. for various entities
  • Assist leaders and their direct reports with special projects, reporting procedures, and other activities
  • Prepare check requests and file/remit quarterly and annual estimated tax forms/payments to appropriate taxing authorities timely. Prepare monthly payment reports including general ledger coding
  • Track and manage tax refund requests and tax notices
  • Archive and maintain payments and returns electronically

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting is preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of office automation tools; Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Google email, calendar, drive.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and analytical skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of operating and corporate personnel as well outside personnel.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Experience with One Source and CorpTax is preferred
  • 2-4 years experience working in the tax / legal department is preferred
  • Practical experience towards general computer and information technology
  • Detail oriented; attention to accuracy is critical
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
